Who makes a good AR based rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor

So don't buy it. They make custom rifles on an AR-10 frame and that's what he asked for. One of the only places I know of that makes calibers on that frame other than .308. Several calibers to choose from, including the 6.5 Creedmore, with a .75" guarantee at 100 yards for around $2500 to $2750. I think Alexander Arms may also build rifles on the big AR frame other than the .308.

JP is what I intended to say instead of Alexander Arms. AA just works with the AR 15 platform. I was on a happy Sooner win/Makers Mark buzz when I sent the last reply last night.

Miller Precision Arms makes a 300 win mag AR and they list the option to build it in 6.5. They should have their 300 win at SHOT. I am planning on stopping by their booth.

JP is my desire but my budget is saying DPMS.

Is the LRP the side charger or the standard charging handle? I got all confused with the new upper receivers and nomenclature.

LRP is a side charger only. Paired with a PRS stock it's a very well balanced rifle for precision work. Loves the Hornady 140amax load.

If not JP due to budget then I'd be inclined to build one on a Mega matched upper/lower with the Criterion barrel. I know of two who have that build and both are 3/4" guns.

Yes factory loads. 5rd groups around .6". Had one sub .5 but that's not everyday performance. I don't normally shoot for groups,. That crap is boring and doesn't hold my interest very long. On the line at ETTS it's put dents on every piece of steel out there.

The gun is soft shooting and stupid accurate. Only thing it doesn't do is call the wind for me:)
