Dieing to go! just haven't had a chance yet, need to get the oldest boy, 4, out and into some perch if nothing else.
I've been to Sardis and McGee Creek in SE OK a couple of times each but didn't have a lot of luck. I've taken my boys a couple times to the ponds in my neighborhood but not a lot of luck so far this year. American Horse is usually pretty good especially when it gets a little hotter.

I bought a new (to me) boat in Sand Springs on Monday and put it on Kaw Tuesday after a checkout.
Caught one drum about 7 lbs or so on an ultra light and 4lb line. That was a heck of a fight
They have been slamming the crappie on Kaw at the Washunga Bridge in the background, but the storm front coming in must have turned them off.
I've got a Ranger Bass Boat with a 200 Mariner, but I really like this little boat. It doesn't cost a $100 a day in fuel to run. One tank of fuel might last all summer, and I don't care if it runs up on the rocks.

The guys camping there told me they have been catching them with tiny jigs suspended under floats in 1-4' of water on the rip rap.
Looks like a nice setup. I know what you mean about $100 a weekend for gas.
I've primarily fished for largemouth bass and have dine sone trotlining as well. I don't have a lot of experience with Crappie but love to eat them.
I like jigs in the fall/winter.... Fish spinnerbaits and buzzbaits some but my go to bait is 4-6" senko. I probably fish with a senko 80% of the time.
A wacky worm with o-ring setup works very well in the summer at American Horse. It's a deep lake and I've absolutely slayed bass with wacky worms at 30-35 ft on bottom in the hottest parts if the summers.

I never made it fishing for a paddle fish, but I did catch several messes of crappie from our pond. They averaged 12 in. and were a might tasty. Minnows for bait.
The pond also produced a 24" blue catfish, but it was poor table faire. Too big to eat. The meat was rubbery and tough. He put up a great fight on a light weight Ugly Stick with 4# test. I really had to finesse him in.

The ODW is adament about not putting crappie into a pond less than 10 acres.
My uncle had a 1/4 acre pond, way back in the day. We put some in it, and in two years, could never catch a crappie larger than 4"'s.
