Who built my STI 2011?

Picked this up a few months ago and have had no luck finding any info on it.
I know theres a few builders in texas such as Brazos Customs, or Jimmy Mitchell. I ran the serial with STI, they said they have no record.
I picked it up from a kid in the austin area that said he inherited it when his uncle passed away. He said his uncle used it in uspsa.
Anyone recognize the cuts/smith work?

Seriously! I Talked with Toby Walker at STI, he said even if it was a kit gun sold from Brownells they would have it on record, but for this one, not the case.

The beavertail and thumb safety are poorly blended, so unless they were replaced at some time, no one I can think of.

STI's aren't competitive in USPSA. Just SVI's.

Mike, what do you look for to tell that the safety and beavertail are poorly blended?

Id much rather you give it to me straight than candycoat it into thinking its something better than what it is. im new to the 2011 platform and just looking to learn as much about it as possible.

The gap between the frame and beavertail is an indicator of poor fitment.
Here's a picture of one I did. It's not perfect, but close.

The elephant dung getting started wasn't about you pistol at all. It was about a wannabe local gunsmith who quickly got banned from here for running his mouth and showing his true 3rd grade intelligence.

the shields of the thumb safeties on both sides are overlapping the frame, and really should have been grinded down and made to fit the contour of the frame. It also looks like a colt safety, so that tells me it might have been build with some used parts. Im glad youre not pissed; Im not trying to be a dick, its just that no one tells the truth anymore on the internet, everyone just blows air up each others ass nowadays, so when you see a simple emphatic opinion, some folks get bent outa whack

From what it seems like, based on the info ive gotten, it was a short block kit, and whoever got it just filled in the parts.

What is this piece called? I thought it was the shock buff, but it looks like the shock buff is behind it. Its quite a bit chewed up and I was going to replace it.

thats not good;thats a commonoli guide rod\, possibly a tungsten one; and the part thats supposed to hit the frame is chewed the f up. you should replace the entire guide rod and get a new appropriate recoil spring.
