Hello,

I am new to the 3Gun community and need some advice on the pro's, con's and advice on picking a 3Gun scope. I have read numerous posts on this website as well as others and think that you guys have the expertise to help me make the correct decision.

I have narrowed my choices to three scopes:
Bushnell SMRS 1-6.5X 24MM - ILLUMINATED BTR-1 SFP
Leopold VX-6 1-6x24mm CDS Illuminated Reticle duplex?
Swarovski Z6i 1-6x24 BRTi

I am leaning towards the Swarovski, since every post I seem to read are compared against the Z6i. The price is steep but I prefer buying equipment once and not second guessing a decision just on price.

If you have any other suggestions, please include them.
Thank you,
Curtis

I believe Vortex Optics has a scope out to compete with the Swarovski. Or maybe it comes out next year in Q1. Not sure, apparently not Googling it either.

Leopold VX-6 1-6x24mm CDS Illuminated Reticle duplex?

This is the scope I use & I love it.
The reticle is similar to the DCD reticle of the prismatic.
Nice field of view, clear glass, good eye relief.
I don't have any regrets about buying this scope

If the swaro is in your budget go that route. If u want to get a scope and a case of ammo go with the Leupold. I second walls post I shoot the same scope with a different reticule

You have the staight cross hair, right?
I like that one too.
Leupold makes the VX6 in a MulitGun Reticle but it was way too busy for me.
It just has too many hash marks, I like it a like more simple.

So you have the duplex reticle? The Leopold website is kinda confusing and didn't show the duplex option when I was browsing their website.

Are busy reticles a hindrance in 3Gun? I guess there might be a couple reasons. Delayed target acquisition in 1X and getting a hit without the requirement for a 10 ring hit?

If your leaning toward a Swarovski and you have the money you better buy it. And I'm not just saying this because I have one.... Wait I have two.

Not really, I just like them a little more simple.
It's all a matter of preference.

If you're interested a duplex or cds reticle VX6, send me a pm. I'll see what I can get one for.

Oh ok.
Do you own the Make Ready shop or are they your sponsor? My last item to buy is a gun belt and I notice you have the CS Speed belts. Guess belts should be in another topic thread.
yeah, my store

If Swaro is in the budget, that's the route I'd go.
I looked at them & they are badass, just weren't in my budget.
