i bought a used redhawk .44mag,got to shoot it saturday and it was shooting left pretty bad....thought ehhh its a 44mag its me i'm pulling it.so today i loaded up some very mild 44special cowboy action loads.and then i put it on sandbags target 12yards away, same results a good 10inchs left very nice group but LEFT.adjusted the sights so far that the blade is hanging out to the right a good 1/8 of an inch. i don't like that at all,if i'm in bear country and need to draw the thing that sight blade could hang and be ripped off being ran that far to the right.now what to do?think it has an issue a gunsmith could fix?call Ruger and see what they say?i realy like the pistol its a blue steel model and as we all know you can't get these anymore ruger is only making SS models now.

Is the barrel on straight? I know it seems a silly question, but I just had to send a Smith ans Wesson back to the factory because the barrel was actually rotated a little.

If used, could the previous owner somehow warped or bulged it with a hand load error?

I always hear how awesome Ruger customer service is... Maybe you should send it to them.

you shouldnt have to use a dealer.

call ruger and they should send you a UPS shipping label.

ive had Smith send a label.

it will come back to your house on the UPS truck.
