I have done some research and the numbers are all over the place. It is a Winchester Model 1917 30-06 with and upgraded stock and sights. Gun has some pitting on the barrel and the bolt handle. The actual bolt looks to be in good shape and the stock is perfect.

According to records, that rifle was built in May of 1918.

Is that the original configuration? If so, it could be worth anywhere from $500 to $900 depending on the condition and if the parts are original and not mismatched.

I read that there should be a "W" marking on it would indicate the original parts, perhaps under the bolt or maybe around the front or rear sight, but I'm no pro at this...manufacturers hide their stamps in different spots.

Hope this helps.
