Water. Semi-arid desert so your water consumption will be more than you are used to. If you come from low altitude, a baby aspirin a day will thin the blood a tad and and help with oxygen take-up and headaches.

Sunscreen required.

No worries about bugs or snakes.

Rifle shots to 200 yards max make the binos and rangefinders a luxury you won't need. 55s are fine, no need for heavies on anything in this match. But understand on know your mechanical offset from 2 yards to 45 yards.

For pistol, Minor PF 9mm will get everything done you need with no worries at all.

Shotgun. Max round count is 30, so loading 21 minimum in the limited divisions. Make sure you have a way to load 21 rounds while seated. There are about 25 rounds each of required buckshot and slugs in the match, but the shots are not difficult or far. There will be at least 5 targets where a heavy field load or buckshot will make the target easier to knock down.

The surface in the berms is basically hard packed clay with some sandy areas.

The 12 bays stretch over a width of about 250 yards and all face north, so the sun will always be at your back.

Parking is plentiful. Wagons and carts do fine.

Food. Our match vendor's breakfast burritos and lunches are excellent and the helpings are sufficient. You can pre-buy meal tickets on the application. Closest food otherwise is about 20 minutes one way from the range (unless you like wheat).
