What will an "Assault Weapons Etc" ban do to the Sport of 3 Gun?

The NRA A grade is given out pretty liberally.

Practical rifles are pretty featureless actually, no flash hiders, bayonet mounts, etc. The real pita is magazines, they are a consumable item and won't last forever. Thankfully AR mags are fairly cheap so there really isn't an excuse to not have a ton of em. I came into the sport after the ban sunset so I didn't really get to experience the joy that comes from paying 4X what a mag is worth.

Over here in TN Walmarts been out. I did a search on their web site the closest store with 9mm or 223 is 2 hrs away. I talked to the sporting goods manager today and she will not have a shipment in until after the New years. Most other supply stores online are out to or if they do have it more then I can afford.

They will get ammo in before New Years. I'm a Shift Manager for Walmart. There's no possible way that she could know that she won't get more ammo in until New Years. We get in ammo every day. If it's in stock in the warehouse then we get it. If it's out in the warehouse then we don't get it. I've ordered in and received almost 10k Tula .223 in the past two weeks. Still have several cases left. That said, I have seen a big rush on ammo in the past several days.

I bought 25 pmags several months ago in case an AWB is put in place again. I wouldn't care to pay a ton of money for one magazine if they were to be banned. I wouldn't call myself a hoarder, but I do like to have plenty of certain items on hand in case I need them. The feds might be monitoring me due to how much ammo I've been buying...

Cheaper then dirt has just raised there price from $12 to $30 for there pmags just in the last couple of hours...............

Brownells still has 10 paks of pmags for $129. If you order today and use the code DV3 you get free shipping. Hope you like black 'cuz that's all they got.

Thanks for that Scott - I just ordered a 10 pack just in case.

Don't forget to use the BoomerShooter click through (shameless plug)

Just got off of Cabela's ordering more ammo, it's on back order but the price hasn't gone up yet plus they sent a $20 off coupon because of my last order. I am becoming a hoarder, I've watched ammo go up and up for over the last two years, F it I'm going to buy now. The last order was also on back order but I got it in a week hope this purchase will be the same. Call me crazy if you want but I can't afford $659 for a case of ammo.

It's nuts that CTD has pmags for $29.97 and M855 for $659.59 now. I paid ~$11 to my door not too long ago for pmags. I don't blame them for raising prices when demand is up and supply is low, but that's a little extreme. It's not so much the pricing that I hate but the way they fuel the fire. They're always using marketing to hype up things and create panic buying that exceeds what's warranted.

don't blame them? They had absolutely $0 more invested in their inventory when they they decided to almost triple the price.

I sold out of mags today with full knowledge that my suppliers were out of stock & I wouldn't be getting more anytime soon (other than what I already have on order). I saw people raising prices when the panic buying started. I didn't even consider it, I knew I'd sleep better if I didn't screw the people I started this store for.

I bet Walmart is out of ammo already!!!

There was no 9mm at the Walmart at Memorial and Penn today. Oddly, all the premium .223 was sold out, but the blaster American Eagle stuff was fully stocked. They had more .40S&W than usual, and no difference in the amount of .45ACP.
