Ok, I got a Glock 41 and I am trying to figure out what exactly to do with it. I want to do some grip work and use the factory beaver tail. Has anyone here bobbed the beaver tail to not add thickness at the lower part of the grip? Will removing the finger grooves take it out of production?

I know it needs sights and trigger work.

I have the same issue. I said for years if they ever came out with a Practical/Tactical in .45, I'd be the first to buy one. Now I can't figure out a gamer way to use it. Other than petitioning USPSA to have major power factor in production, I am thinking of using it for L-10, limited major and take the beating for only having 17 round mags, or getting the lightest recoil spring I can find and loading down .45 to make minor (or even just over major minimums. It would still have almost no recoil compared to factory ammo) and shoot Production again.

Does a pistol for Heavy Metal have to be a single stack, or just no more than 10 rounds in the mag?

Looking at the rules, it appears that Heavy Sport can have as many rounds as you gain get in the mag and not exceed length, Heavy optics is 10 in the mag with same size constraint.

Well, I will get to lopping. If I feel froggy, I might send it to you to make pretty.

Side note, have you ever made a beavertail out of accuglass Mike?

"Great M&P 45 setup", as described by Mike Cyrwus. When most others say "great", I'm skeptical. If you're describing that way, I am intrigued. Why would you have to go and tempt me to move away from Glock like that?

yes, they are nice, but a bit of work. I dont know anyone who gets slide bite with the gen 4 bts, though.

I know the Glock 21 is built like a tank and the durability has been proven. My question is, would a Glock 41 endure the same round count as a G21?

The thinner profile barrel and thin slide lead me to believe it's not as "over engineered". For example, the G21 can handle the supers but the 41 can't, to me that's an indication it's not as durable. Any thoughts?

I have about $118 in this thing. If it breaks, it breaks. I have a feeling hat I will through at it will not cause the slide to crack. As for the barrel, I will be finding a threaded version at some point and tossing a can on it.

We will see if it makes a difference.
