That's me. I read a lot but don't usually have anything to say that hasn't already been said by the time I get there. So.......I lurk a lot.

BB wanders all over the place.......but she likes the Fat Guys so OSA will always be "home" to her......what can I say?? (At least she checks the classifieds for me regularly. :P )

Man I wish we had a larger bolt gun crowd here. I really want to get into some long range shooting. I think a combination of long range shooting and action shooting would be great! That Tiger Valley match was cool but needed a little tweaking to make it perfect. It's hard to balance the slow longer range precision stuff with the fast paced action stuff and make both parts fun but I think it can be done. Anybody have $6 or 7k I can have for my rifle?
Some of the best bolt guys are from Oklahoma. There are just not many of them total. Dean Morris (OKC Gun Club Member) and Rick Jensen (Red Castle Gun Club) were on the US F Class team that competed in Bisley, England 2 years ago. I started competing in F Class several years ago at OKC Gun Club matches. I shot with a stock Savage 10 FCP with a McMillan stock and Ziess scope. I was averaging a 12" group at 600 yards and still finishing in the bottom 1/3 of the pack most months.

You were not kidding about the cost of match equipment. Top shooters were shooting custom rifles that cost $4,000-5,000 and a $2,000+ scope. This does not even add the cost of the precision reloading equipment. There are no Dillon 650's used in that game. Every piece of brass is hand prepped and each charge is weighed on the scale. Then each bullet is seated with precision hand dies. It was a lot of work for a 60 shot match that lasted all day.

Luckily, I found action pistol last November. Cyrwus should be done with my limited gun mid summer and it didn't cost much more than the scopes the F Class guys use. I enjoyed F Class, but I could afford the "arms race".

I met Dean Morris at the Rick Reeves match. Great guy and hellava good shooter.

I look at these sites on a pretty regular basis, either to find information, or keep in touch with friends.
Here
Sgrid.com (rc racing and other various topics)
Riders group on facebook (oklahoma based motorcycle guys)
Sigarms556.com (sig sauer 556 discussions)
ADVRider.com (dualsport motorcycles)
ThumperTalk.com (general motorcycles)
ATVMotion.com (state off-road race series)

I use a multitude of other sites to look information. I favorite places folder has over 350 sites all catagorized.

Brian Enos, BoomerShooter, OSA, AR15.com. I get pretty much all I could ask for here, sooner or later. This is a great one.
