I was using Brian Enos a lot until BS started eating up all my time.

OSA was awesome when I first found it. Hell OSA was the first forum I ever joined. I never knew they existed. Now I have subscriptions to the competition stuff and classifieds. I like the way this software will email you instantly when there is a new item listed in the classifieds. Enos is the same way. I have got a lot if great deals that way.

I use AR15.com and M4 carbine a little. The tactical guys don't always give with the competition guys for some reason though.

There is no other forum that I visit as much as here, I used to like OSA but that was before I found this place, I still go to OSA alot but it is pretty much just to check the classifieds. I like the fact that when someone asks a question here, even if it might seem like a silly ? to some people, they don't get ridiculed for it.

There was a thread on OSA a while back, where someone was asking about the .357sig round, and a bunch of people started telling him how dumb he was for having to ask that question

I hate it when a new member joins a forum and it's obvious he joined because he had a question but he doesn't know how to search or lime most forums thecsrstcj function sucks them hecasjs the question and everybody yells at him to go search. He'll almost every answer us on google sometimes it's better to talk or type rather than just read for 2 days straight.

I think that some people just like to be an ass. Some people think that just because they spend 20 hours a day on a forum it makes them better than anyone else.

So far no one here is like that.

I also like the fact that BoomerShooter.com is not just a gun forum, its a Shooting Forum.

I always laugh when I see people on osa talking about how good a shot they are because they go to the range at least 2 times a year. lol

That's about the same reasons I skip several sections of OSA and stick to M4C. At M4C they'll tell you to take a hike if you run your mouth too much. But it is a double-edged sword because you do have to deal with some of the pontificaters. To be honest, I don't even comment that much but there is a plethora of info on that forum.

I wouldn't mind a private LEO section, but I'm not sure how much activity it would get or if it's even desired. I do enjoy boomershooter because there aren't some of the same airsoft or tacticool crowd (excluding Cyrwus of course, just kidding Mike) from other sites.

I'm on here and Snipers Hide about 50/50 now. They have a big bolt gun crowd and those weapons are my favorite.

Man I wish we had a larger bolt gun crowd here. I really want to get into some long range shooting. I think a combination of long range shooting and action shooting would be great! That Tiger Valley match was cool but needed a little tweaking to make it perfect. It's hard to balance the slow longer range precision stuff with the fast paced action stuff and make both parts fun but I think it can be done. Anybody have $6 or 7k I can have for my rifle?

marks firearms
xda developers

and a few others...

I'm on classic ford forums, camaro forums, honda forums - some I check daily some weekly

My first personal firearm was a Red Ryder BB gun, but the first "true" firearm I ever fell in love with was my dad's bolt action .22. You could face in the complete opposite direction of your target and still nail the bullseye, it was that accurate, but I felt like a true marksman and a war hero firing that rifle. I really miss the sound and feel of opening and closing the bolt.

For that reason I believe a R700 will be one of the next few guns that find their way home to me.

Don't get me wrong, I like OSA and respect what Kelly has done with it and there are quite a few good people there, so I'm not going to come over here to bash them, but I agree with Redneck. There's quite a smug attitude that's found there with some people and while I doubt it scares new shooters away from the sport, it might send a few off running to learn for themselves because they're too afraid to ask for any more help, which can lead to disaster in an extreme case.

I haven't seen that attitude here, yet (hopefully not ever).

But to actually add something to this discussion, these are the only 2 gun forums I visit regularly, though I am a member of AR15.com and DPMS' forums. I used to be pretty active on Amazon.com's Gold Box forum, but that place has been taken over by dicks.

I also frequent PerformanceTrucks and BlackOpsForum.

I tend to contest the smug replies on OK Shooters.
Hunting and Fishing forum is pretty mild though.

Speaking of hunting/fishing, I do Oklahoma hunter forum, Marks, OKshooters, and this one.

OSA, Here, SHTF, Glock Talk, some Facebook, a few others just to lurk...

Been pretty happy with the group here. Definitely shooters, not just magazine readers and gun shop junkies. Its amazing how a bit of practical application can change a person's opinion of something. More ought to try it...

OSA before the crowd devolved.
Bladeforums.com
CBR1100X.org

Just those mostly. I lurk around A LOT of places but that's where I spend my time.
