This is the third match I'm coordinating down here in FL called "Rumble in the Jungle". We lack hills, we lack elevation and we lack good public ranges down here... however we make do with what we have....One stage we'll be cruising down a grass runway on the tailgate of a truck at 15mph engaging falling steel ... I thought some of you guys might enjoy this teaser video.. I'll post vids off the full match next week. The two shotgun stages are blind so no shooter pre-knowledge of the stages... It should be fun :)

It's actually not really bad with reset... I run the first guy through and I reset while he puts his stuff away.. I then get each shooter two or three shooters after them. One stage has 21 clays.. the other only 9.. the second one they start hooded with their shotgun somewhere in the vicinity... 35 second par time... 9 shells in gun, 9 targets between them and the final way point (tree with ribbon on it). The clays are easier to stick in place than bending over and picking up steel. It costs $ but it is what it is.. its like 90 degrees with 200% humidity...

Here are two from his helmet cam... Please keep in mind his looking behind him is the proper thing to do in this environment.. his head turned, muzzle didn't

Hostage Stage... after the above run these guys get a pillow case over their head where they are led into the woods nearby.. their gun loaded to capacity (9 rnds) and placed in a box attached to a parachute (in this video on the chute since box wont be available until Sun) . You can hear my walk through talk to the shooter. He teaches tactics for a living and isn't a gamer... he handles this COF very well. The timer said 28 seconds but I timed the video and he pulled the trigger right at the 35 second par time... 9 rounds/ 35 seconds and about 50 yards to walk... sounds easy right :)

Another Fun Day.
of course the COFs above changed after I mapped out the target locations :)

Shooting out of the back of the truck with the shottie was a blast, literally.
5 challenging but extremely fun stages.

It was a good time. I'll get videos up tomorrow. I'd like to be the first to congratulate you on 3rd place Ken. I'll email the scores out in a few moments.

I have to disagree on that one. This one was blind for everybody. Shooters staged away from the action and its like 60 -100 yards worth of walking through the jungle . Nobody shot it clean and a few didn't make the very gracious par time. We didn't let them reset it until they shot it so the first 2-3 guys it took longer to reset .

There was no way to cheat on this , what do you tell your buddy "There will be a shitload of trees, there is a clay behind the third bush next to the fourth tree off the clump of grass on the east side of the previous target"

This was two very blind stages

Target count, target type, any intel is good intel. Fastest route to the truck because blind stages take way too much time.

Perhaps. Nobody shot this stage clean and nobody knew the exact count and all the guys had a miss or ten Three squads, 30 shooters and times all over the place. It came down to experience more than anything. You just can't game something like that when the area you are going into is unknown and the targets are unknown. There is no point of reference to cheat from. You can describe it all you want but how do you know you even are giving your buddy accurate information if you didn't shoot it clean.

Par times keep things running at a steady pace.

Ive done it man. Cell phones, smoke signals, text messages. People are gonna talk. If it s for fun its no big deal. If there are prizes on the line blind stages get gamed like Burki's mom.
