Had the pleasure with wife and some friends to go out on a boat, get three miles from Boca Chica Tx to watch SpaceX launch the most powerful rocket in history.
Unfortunately, the starship came apart in flight over the carribean but the main booster returned to the launch pad and was captured by the "chopsticks".
These are my videos taken from a boat rocking in the waves.
The roar of the rocket and the sonic booms were totally insane.

What did you do yesterday?

Cleaned the house lol

It was drizzling all day, so decided it was time to light off the burn pile from this summer's tree trimming. Quite the burn.

I've learned to call the burns in to the FD as one we had last year that was bigger that had about 5 fire trucks come up our driveway which is 3/10 mile long to investigate a fire that was called in by someone a long way off. We live on a hilltop, so at evening time it's noticeable.

At least it's warmer than shooting outside in the winter lol
You could roast a bunch of wieners on that fire even tonight. What is not shown is the two piles just as big as that one out of the pic that I pushed in with the tractor and front loader. About 3' of hot coals out there as we speak 24 hours later. It even rained a bit overnight.

We made it to Gulf Shores Alabama today in the RV for a one month stay with friends. Loving this weather.
What did you do today?
We had a get together with my cousins on my dads side. Not everyone was there but it was incredible seeing the ones who were there. Lost contact them years ago, and got together with them when another cousin of mine passed. My friend from growing up let me know about my cousins passing. Convoluted I know but God moves in mysterious ways His wonders to preform. Hope you folks have a wonderful time. Stay safe!

I've spent almost all day cleaning guns, (& sorting brass) .
Went to the range late last night, w/ my Daughter-in-law... she wanted to shoot her handguns.
Has a new Glock 42 (?) . 380, a 9mm Cmdr. & a Charter Arms (short barrel) 44 Spec.
Don't think she's ever fired any of them before last night.

I took some of my guns in the same cals, so she could try some of my various reloads.
I took a CZ-83 ( hefty all steel 380) My Bul Cmdr in 9mm, and my fav. 44, ..a S&W Mod 29 (-3)bought in the early 80's.
Hard to believe I've had that 29 for > 40 yrs.!
I also took along my Ar-9 16"carbine w/ bipod, & scope, ( to shoot @ 50' ?) ...yes.

Why ? I've been experimenting with lightweight composite bullets in various cals
& I wanted her to see how they shot, compared to fmj or jhp pills.

We both had a lot of fun..though I was disappointed in shooting my Bul, ( I usually do better)
Always impressed with the performance of my mod 29 & like the large holes it makes..
Had some 180gr (?) full wad cutters loaded in 44 Spec cases, loaded down to around 650 fps...
She really enjoyed shooting those. The fact 44 Spec. she bought were making her hand hurt,
when fired in the short barell Charter Arms revolver.

I was surprised how much she enjoyed shooting the AR.. maybe because w/scope & bipod ( + a CMC 3.5# trigger)
it's so easy to put shots in a tight group, in the bullseye. Might be easy, but still fun.

Wife and I along with two friends rode a Mardi Gras float in the Gulf Shores parade throwing hundreds of beads each. My throwing arm will be sore tomorrow but it was so much fun.
Our second year to do that.

While we were out on the road in the RV this winter enjoying the warmth of Gulf Shores Al and a few other states in the SE part of our great country, our winds at home exceeded 90mph straight line winds here in Okla.
No home damage, just some limbs down as we had them all trimmed and thinned last fall.
One of the limbs off the 100' walnut tree took out our flag pole.
Used the post hole digger on the tractor two days ago to put in a new sleeve, reinforced with concrete Friday.
Today, Old Glory is flying proudly once again.
Not shown in the pic is the upward shining solar led light to complement the solar light at the top of the pole that shines down.
I wanted her to shine brightly.

Have been spending too much time on yard work..getting mower going, cutting grass, weed whacking, raking up last years leaves, (blown over from neighbor's yards), hedge trimming, dandelion killing..etc..
Have been doing these things instead of getting my m/c's oil circulating.. tires aired up, draining out stabilized gas & putting in fresh.
Well, I've done that to 3 bikes so far, but got a few more that need the same treatment..
Only riding I've done is around the block, or a few miles from home.
On my last ride. went over to visit my gunsmith, & got caught in a sudden, heavy, downpour a half-mile from home..which turned to hail
! Had to stop & wait for the hail to stop, before resuming my ride home in the downpour. Got home & looked like I fell in a swimming pool..I was soaked. Thankful I made it home, alive.

Glad you got home safely. I can't imagine riding a bike in a hail storm!
