Hard chrome, but that still needs some care. Haven't tried other finish options, but I had it on my HI-power from the factory. Showed wear where the moving parts met, but other than that was good to go. Me personally, I kinda like the look of a worn/used finish on blued guns. More "action star, hard use" if you will.
