Okay. Completely screwed up my first thread. Gonna do it right this time lol! I'm new to the AR game. As you can see in the pictures (Tried to do better pics) this model does not have a forward assist or a dust cover for the ejection port. (I'm assuming that i can just buy a stripped upper and replace if i want those options, right?) As of right now I will only be using this for range use when i have the ammo and time. In the future i would like to get into maybe 3-gun not sure at the moment. So i really just want some feed back on what everyone thinks about this AR.

Thanks guys.

It's a Colt so its good quality. I would change to a lighter barrel and handguards with holes to dissipate heat at a minimum, but that's my preference. It'll be a fine rifle as is.

If you're thinking 3 gun, get at least an 18" barrel with rifle length gas and a good muzzle brake like the Titan, Rolling Thunder, or the JP Cooley.

Smartass...

You have a great carbine. It can certainly be used in 3 gun. Most that are experienced in three gun go with longer barrels, different comps and longer handguards.
If you have the $$, keep this one for play, and buy or build an upper for 3 gun.
Thats the beauty of the AR.
