What do you do for a living?

...kinda like the 'quality police'.

Do you get to carry a badge and a gun?

I make frac sand for the oilfields.
I'm off 15 days of the month, but it never seems to be the days that matches are going on

I wanted to be an international man of mystery.... but all i got was a lousy t-shirt.....

State Police Officer/Firearms Instructor

Well I am a full time student in engineering. However, this summer I will be working for Baker Hughes in the Woodlands, TX as a design engineering intern.

Land Surveyor, adjunct Instructor at TCC and seminar presenter. Everything I do to earn a living pretty much revolves around surveying.

Director of Flight Operations. Manage and supervise 2 planes and 2 additional pilots. All 3 of us are in to guns. Great job, when we get the passengers to their destination, we start visiting gun shops and gun ranges.

Currently I'm a Powersports Technician. Motorcycle, ATV, UTV, PWC, Snowmobile. I'm trained for Pressure washers, generators, and lawn equipment as well. It pays bills, but sidework pays for toys. hint hint.

I used to build the Ford Escape, Mazda Tribute, and Mercury Mariner at the Kansas City Assembly Plant for Ford M.C. I took a great (for me) buy out package when they started transfering people to my plant and talking lay-offs and short work weeks. Didn't want to have spotty work availablilty and or be stuck on the graveyard shift for 15 years. So I bailed and Ford payed my way through MMI in Florida and most of my associates degree at OSU. I'm a journalism major and would like to work with a motorcycle magazine in the future.

Really looking to get away from wrenching full time, and the only way I see myself involved with the retail/service part of the powersports industry in 5 years is if I have my own shop. I have some great ideas for that, just have to make a formal business plan and find the right market.

Oh, and sometimes I sit in the other room while taymoor wipes ass. Someone's gotta make sure he's washing his hands in accordance to local and federal laws.

I forgot to mention I used to teach automation during evenings at Francis Tuttle for two years.

I'm a commercial construction estimator and project manager. I have to be the bad guy that tells the architect and owner that they don't have enough money to build the first design they come up with.

They still doing the drill bits there? I almost transferred to the big plant just south of there in Houston after they left OKC, I had about 7 years with them then. Had they not moved I'd likely still be there. I loved that job, we made some really cool chit, just wasn't a fan of that big congested sauna down there. The Woodlands was very very nice though, at least back then it was. B)

I'm a designer in multiple disciplines. I've designed everything ranging from books, posters, magazines, web applications, web sites, mobile apps, video games, products, packaging, you name it. I've also done some art direction for some video shoots and have directed a few music videos and short films. I'm pretty sure 90% of you who live anywhere near the OKC metro area has either used or seen something I've created, designed, or had a hand in the production of.

I'm currently working as a freelancer specializing in user interface design and user experience design, which may soon change since I'm on the verge of getting investment capital to fund a new web startup or possibly be acquired by another agency to lead and run an OKC branch.

I'm also one of the founders and owners of the Oklahoma City Coworking Collaborative (okcCoCo) located in midtown OKC. It's a co-working space dedicated to entrepreneurs, designers and developers. We're a place that connects new web startup founders with entrepreneurs and host various events related to web startups, open government, and entrepreneurship.

Our major conferences include: Open Beta, Red Dirt Ruby Conference, and Gov 2.0 conference which was last week.
