What base pads do I need?

First off, what's with the damn exam gloves? It's a magazine, you're not giving it a rectal exam.
Second, I don't have that problem with my tti bases. If you'd have said something when you picked up your barrell, I'd have shown you.
I had to pick up a kid from gymnastics. Barely made it back there in time.

I can't copy a quote here, but in response to Jesse, I will end up getting a 2011, but there are several other big ticket items to get first. My wife is my pretty much my sponsor right now, and the better I do, the better things she lets me get. If I do decently well at the Area 3 match, there will be more room for negotiation. I would love to have a high-cap .45 2011 right away, but with the G41 and G34 I already have, it'll pretty much take a prize table to get me one, especially after seeing the Robar-enhanced M1 Garand in the new issue of SWAT and the fact that I don't yet own a McMillan .50. Those are some sexy guns.

Why would you want a .45 for a competition gun? You loose a lot of capacity and gain a lot of recoil?
I was think the same thing unless heavy metal is on your to do list.

The capacity thing is certainly an issue, but based on my experience with out of the box guns, the .40 is more difficult to control than the 45 to me. The recoil feels much faster. Granted, I have only used factory ammo or ammo loaded to normal velocities in 40 and 45, so there may be a big difference when shooting the powderpuff loads.

Ultimately, it comes down to cost. I already have the .45 and am set up to reload it. I won't complain if I can pick up a .40 on a prize table, and buying the dies and components would be easy to justify with a free gun.

We were. I decided to go with the DP base pads. This thread has served its purpose, now it is time to go off topic. The internet couldn't survive otherwise. I wonder why my 3G came with the white lettered Stag Arms stickers on the stock instead of the green lettered stickers. I feel cheated. Maybe I'll throw a Colt sticker on the upper receiver and a Bushmaster sticker on the lower.
