What are you doing with your group buy lower?

20" is the perfect balance between light enough to move and long enough to get a good sight radius. Any longer is not really functional for 3-gun when ports/walls/RO's are in the way.. The extra 1/4" is not necessary, just a bonus for the cost of a hacksaw and a few minutes. It makes a small difference. The biggest reason I did it is because there are very few true irons shooters these days, but I can almost always count on Kurt shooting the same matches I do. If my gun were to go down (like it did last year at South Texas Carbine) I can pick his up and the sight picture is exact.

I knew If I started talking out off my ass Mike would come correct save me. Thanks buddy! :08:

It's official. I'm building an irons gun. :)

Mike P., do you use a 300 yd. zero? Do you ever adjust between stages? I have so many stupid questions!

I just scored a complete M4 upper with YHM BCG, it has a 14.5in barrel and a pinned FH so I think I wlll use this for my lower. I have it on a 112 dollar Plum Crazy lower right now and the balance feels good but I have other plans for my plastic lower.

Plum Crazy loweres are really cheap plastic loweres, even the trigger is plastic. I bought a couple just to try out I doubt they will last very long but I intend to find out just how long they will last. I think the built lower minus the stock is only 8oz.

I just read about these things in Shotgun News. Theat ATAS DB Fortier used one in a build. If I woudl ahve know about those I woudl have tried on in the AR that I am buliding for my 8 & 9 year old nephews. They need light weight and more importantly cheap.

Upstate Armory has them for 112 shipped and Cold Hand did the transfer for free so they alredy have his FFL on file so order one for each nephew.
