I like Matt's Pizza Dept. on Berlin G Myers in Summerville. Used to be NYPD Pizza but there was a copyright issue for what I understand. Great pies, thin crust with just the right amount of char.

Honestly my wife usually just makes the pizza. We like it better than anything that we've found to buy.

My daughter grew up on Pizza. Seriously, we ate it three times a week or more. Now, just the smell of Pizza makes me queasy at times.

I liked Benito's though. The "Shroom" is good (in my opinion) but I love the beer selection.

christina's in Ridgeville. 10 miles from 78/Main street, striaght out 78, by the railroad tracks.
can't beat it. Ask for the "grilled cheese sandwich" it used to be a family secret, but now its on the menu.
it's made with the high end pizza cheese...it's GREAT.

Capannos' (sp?) by SEARS/Kmart on Ladson/Dorchester. have a cheese 24 inch for $17, comes up to ~$25 time you put toppings on it
be SPECIFIC on how you want it sliced, or else everyone takes a HUGE slice, and half the kids don't eat it all.
you order those for our church all the time. always good.

Used to be a place on Mt Pleasant called Luna Rosa. They had the best Greek potato salad! Unfortunately, they closed down. I wonder where that recipe ended up?

Tried "Steel City Pizza" this weekend. Not my favorite pie although not bad, but I will say that the Sandwiches were excellent and the "poppers" were an interesting appetizer.

Little Ceasars...tastes like crap...but $10 gets me food for 2 days

.. And I just found out that you can get THREE pizza'a at CiCi's for $10

too bad, I am not a fan of Pizza anymore.

Jon's on Butler Road in Greenville is the best around. NY style by a NY guy. Totally gets it. Its inexpensive and they serve some huge slices. GOOD pizza by the slice was nonexistent until Jon's opened up.

I'm learning how to make pizza at home. Having trouble with the pizza dough recipe though. So far it is not quite right. It's edible but could be better. Having a pizza stone seems to help.

capanno's on Ladson Rd by Dorchester makes a 24 inch.

that's a situation. it costs ~$53 for two of them (one cheese, one pepperoni) but you can feed an army with them.

make SURE to tell them to slice it thin, or it comes sliced like the above picture, about the size of your head...

I second Famulari's. They have two locations, one on Old Trolley and another over by Azalea Square on Berkeley Circle (it's the road that runs between Sticky Fingers and Walgreens, if you turn the other direction it's Berlin G Meyers)

Having grown up in the Chicago area I love their Chicago stuffed crust pizza. It's expensive but one stuffed crust will feed the whole family with leftovers for lunch the next day.

Thanks for the video!

I followed the video and the pizza turned out pretty good. The center of the pizza was not as firm as the rest of the pizza. I think that had to do more with the sauce not being thickened as much as it could have been, the moisture from the grape tomatoes, and the dough being thinner in the middle from how I stretched it out.

All of those issues are something I should be able to fix.

I brought one of these pies, what you stated below is SO TRUE. Thank you for the recommendation. So happy im finding these local places for pizza

In the lowcountry I like Andolini's as good family pie. If you're in the mood for upscale and up$ then Monza downtown on upper King is good.

Mostly, we make it at home too. Since grovery stores started selling indian naan, we use that as the pizza crust.
