After the Columbia gun show we stopped in at the South Carolina Military Museum. Mike Lott greeted us and asked about the show. In talking to my girlfriend he realized we were C&R collectors and we began discussing the little website we run. Long story short, Mike let us into the vault and we arranged a day to photograph their hidden collection of small arms.

For those who have not visited the museum, I cannot recommend it enough. They squeeze a lot into a small space and have clear displays and fascinating equipment. They have also hidden away a halftrack, kubelwagen, and more but need funds to help renovate a second building for public display. Please consider supporting them.

Wow, some real nice photos there! They sure had some very unique pieces in there. I was surprised to see the Argentine Mauser, used to have one but never got to fire it- ammo needed to be reloaded and never got done.

Thanks so much for sharing your trip with us!!! :ugeek:

+10 for the museum. It's free admission, but when you get the end, if you don't feel compelled to drop at least a $10 bill into the box, then you're brain dead.

It's a FANTASTIC museum with many historically signficant pieces. Plan on spending hours there.
