Anyone know of any openings/need for a Radiation Protection Specialist out there? You all seem to have the coolest matches most "interesting" people...

you had it right the first time

Bring your own beer though.
Gas stations and grocery stores only carry the low point water beer.
We have to go to the liquor store for the good stuff.

And the liquor store is closed at 9pm and on sundays and holidays. Basically at all times when you want it most.

God, tell me about it. I wanted my MN concealed carry permit (for when traveling up north a couple of times a year). Got the Utah permit when MN recognized it, but MN dropped Utah reciprocation last August. I had to drive to the closest Sheriff's office in MN (you have to personally deliver the paperwork) and pay $100 cash to get the MN permit. What is it with electing wrestlers and comedians up there anyway?

Thread went on a tangent quickly.

Maybe if you can give a little more information on the job you want someone can help. Are you looking for something at a nuclear power plant or maybe the xray lab at a hospital?

Also forget about the beer. Go with the mixed drinks. All those Oklahoma earthquakes will keep them well shaken, not stirred.

I am an RP at a nuke gen station. The job thing was a little tongue in cheek I guess, if I was super serious I would go back to being a contract tech and just move down there. As a contractor you pretty much travel/work 6 months a year while the different plants refuel the reactors and perform their general maintenance. Working months are generally Feb-Mar and Sept-Nov and you average 80-90k per year. Main problem with this is health care for the family (perfect for competitive shooting though)

Yeah, I think I'm stuck for now and I'll just have to live vicariously through the stories/vids you all post.

We are North of OK by about 2 hours at WCNOC. Only plants in area are Arkansas , Texas , Kansas and Missouri.

OK was scheduled to have a plant outside of Tulsa, but protesting hippies kinda stopped that.

I don't know if we are hiring RP folks currently, but they list openings on our comany webpage.
