yep im using fed yellow jackets and mini mag . the problem is the lip where the barrell meets th etrunion ramp there is a lip that catches the bullett.
I got one several years ago. That early P22 was sent with the early magazines that were problematic. For the first 500 rounds or so... it was a little hit and miss on feeding... and it smoothed out.
Those Walthers all seem a little picky. Mine liked Winchester Wildcat lead bullets... loathed any thing "Remington" at first and the more we shot it the better it ran. My son has this pistol now... and after several years of regular use... it will feed jacketed hollow points..
I'd buy another....but I wish Walter would put a "real" decocker/safety on this model.
Only way I would buy one if I got to shoot it a bunch to make sure it ran good like if it was my friends or something.I wouldn't get one out of the box because they are a real crap shoot.
Walther P22's need a break in period of about 500 rounds with some hotter loads like CCI stingers. After that, they'll run on Federal bulk packs all day long.
Mine has seen upwards of 8,000 rounds so far and it's still going strong.
