We just tried some, and as NJ expatriates, think that it's the best that we have found in SC. We know that pizza tastes are very personal, but this is really very good.

Just had their hamburger pizza on Friday and was not impressed whatsoever.
Maybe next time ill try their calzone.

Tried Vinny's again....this time the new store in goose creek. Still not impressed. My ol' lady, who grew up near NYC, didn't find them to be any good or even comparable to genuine NYC pizza.

I really wanted to like them as they are close to me. But looks like I need to drive further to get pizza i feel is much better.

So where do you go for pizza hammer?

I like Matt's Pizza in Summerville (formerly know as NYPD pizza). I also like getting slices from King's Pizza on ladson road, the reheat on the slices make them just right....The Sign in front says Italian Bistro. Tuscan Bistro near dorchester and trolley isn't bad either, just expensive. I even enjoy a slice every once and a while from Andollini's pizza. These are what i remember off the top of my head.

As far as laege chain pizza, I guess i prefer Papa John's, but i'd rather have any mentioned above. Famulari's isn't too bad for franchise stuff either.

Oh, I just tried Charleston House Of pizza the other day. It's the shiny old diner looking place on Dorchester near Montague across from Harbor Freight tools. A very crappy location but the Pepperoni Pizza is really really good when hot. The taste degrades though when it starts getting cool.
