I may as well be just some dude in his mom's basement with a dremel, but I figured I'd record the process and maybe it could be of some use to someone who wants to jump in and DIY.

If you can't fathom ruining a receiver, send it off to the pros. But how you want the loading port shaped seems to be pretty personal and DIY might be the only way to get it right for you and your style.

I used a Franchi Affinity in this video, but it's much the same process for most shotguns, especially the Benelli M2 and Stoeger M3000 or M3K. There will be different caveats depending on serial number placement and how the follower is retained. I noticed the other day that Stoegers seem to have a 360 degree rib that retains the follower, whereas the Franchi and M2 have more of a 270 degree retention rib.

Thanks to Jesse Tischauser for his video series on this subject that got me started on doing it myself.
