I think Burki was selling a CRV not too long ago, you might check with him.
Some friends of ours bought the crv already

We have an older Mazda 6 and it has turned out to be one of the best cars we've owned. I'll be looking at Mazda again when we are in the market.

Another vote for kia. We have an all wheel drive Sorento model. Gets 22 on the highway. Plenty of room for guns and gear.
They just have to worst name: KIA.
I just hate hearing K.I.A.

Screw Jane Fonda!

does anyone have any experience with the Mazda CX-5? I'm looking at trading my jeep in for something a little more economical and they have been rated pretty highly by all the car tests.

Yeah, not the almost minivan. I've only owned one Mazda that had tons of issues - if the QC is better, it looks like a bargain with 30ish MPG

the subaru outback blows that small SUV segment out of the water in mpg space, safety and reliability. go sit in one

Thanks for the heads up. I'll go take a look next time I'm in the city.

Anyone tried fitting gun stuff into a Challenger?
My BIL just bought a 2015 R/T. He can barely fit he and his girlfriend's gear and buggy in the trunk. Downside is, there's no room for me and my stuff. 2 people would fit fine, if you're not attending a major match and you have a buggy built for two. My '14 Tundra CrewMax and '14 F-350 Crew can fit 5 and all the gear. I'm currently looking for an Excursion to take to matches.

I learned to drive on my dad's Expedition and it was a terrible. The thing cornered like a sailboat. I can't imagine trying to drive an Excursion.

If you drive it like it's a 7000lb truck and not a Porsche 911, Excursions actually drive pretty nice. I like the Expedition as well. For hauling people and gear, large SUVs can't be beaten. I might just put a hard shell tonneau cover on my Tundra, that'd be cheaper than buying another truck.

Going to go drive an Impreza WRX STi today. I may have abandoned the efficient run around concept.
and if you go to Bob moore, give them my wifes name!

I have a 2011 pilot. You can easily pack gear for 2 guys with 2 strollers in it. I have a cargo carrier in back so you could pack 3 guys that way. It's been good to us except gas milage sucks. City I think it gets 18 and hwy 20. I see them used 2012 for $25k easily. Since the new one is out I'm sure you can pick up the old model for a good price soon

I really really liked the Subaru.

I can pack a ton of guns in the trunk/backseat and the back seat is big enough for 2 actual adult males. The 6 speed manual shifts very well, reverse requires an engineering degree to get into though.

I guess I haven't been in a new car in a bit, the stuff put into new vehicles is pretty fancy. I haven't been in a car yet without a backup camera. This is a bit weird for me as I have not yet owned a vehicle with power windows that worked and a key fob that unlocks the car from the outside.

I'm gonna go drive an outback. Sat in one today at work and it's pretty nice (for a station wagon). Does anyone know how much wiggle room they get with the pricing or know of a good salesman? I think it's time to trade in the jeep.
