That sucks, I just finished piling up my gear for it, my jersey even came in this week. Renato it looks like it is up to Oil Capitol for Proam fun, you need to get a shotgun division sometime also.

Let me think about it for our match next month (I might need a bit of help with stage design.)
Or bring your shotgun on Sunday and try the Stages out as your second gun.

This match needs at least 4 people for 3 hours to set up in a way worth shooting(120-150 poppers plus walls).

If we can't get that in June, the future of this match is in serious doubt.

My theory is that people are more willing to help a non profit club than a for profit business.

Wonder why OKC matches get so much support and Tulsa don't? You guys have such a nice facility up there it's just weird.
Yeah, no kidding.

If it makes you feel any better, Jeff, they don't help with USPSA or ProAm either.

Just an honest question, if this is a "For Profit" club that hosts matches, aren't there a few range lackeys that get paid to facilitate shooting at the club? It's not hard to fat-finger the profit these matches bring in. Is there nothing in the budget for set up help?

We could get a range guy for a couple of hours. Not 3 guys though. We'd still need volunteer help.

They are doing more tear down than in the past.

A match like ProAm brings in 300 bucks or so. Steel Challenge which requires almost no set up brings in well over 500 on a good day.

The thing about ProAm is it really only attracts hardcore shooters. You have to be pretty decent to have any fun.

More shooters in the OKC area than here. Just two to three set up the USPSA match @ USSA and only two to three set up the match @ ATA. I remember shooting at Oil Cap. and the shooters had to sit the match up that morning. I wish we could get more help setting up matches but how many new shooters ever come out and help set up? At most clubs it is the same guys setting up each month. We all need help setting up and designing new fun stages. Just my two cents.

Guaranteed the time you had to set up at Oil Capital wasn't at a Steel Challenge or ProAm match.

Do you have the same members helping you set up each month? All matches need new people to help in setting up.

Sorry, Jeff I got off the Pro-Am match. I know how hard it is to get help.
No problem bud, see you next weekend

I swear to God I'll start helping set up again after I graduate.
Take care of business, you are one of they guys that has been a lot of help. Even when you did not shoot as I recall...

There are lots of gun owners, but not shooters.
Don't really know that it's any different there than here in OKC. That's pretty much the case everywhere from what I gather.

What would be the chances of leaving some of the steel on the bays? Or anything else to reduce setup time and effort? Setting up at the start of the match may be the best route to take. Do sign in, setup, then walkthrough and squad up. Don't get signed in, don't shoot. Just rambling thoughts.
