USPSA @ USSA [not] Cancelled

  • To any that has questions about USSA this is a new chapter we are to change things please come up to us at the range and talk to us with any ideas that could help improve the range, again this Jade one of range master. I have been currently working with the Three club match to make new clay moving targets to improve that match and willing to do what I can. I will also be in the pro shop helping out soon. Please realize this are not the old days, we have been drug through the mud but give these new owners a chance.

Ah, cooler heads prevailing and harsh allegations recanted.

So, theres a club match this month and Team USSA is still a go?

Thanks to any and all from the USSA staff and management that contribute to our conversations.

This is great news. Love shooting up there and plan to many times this year. Hopefully the new management will listen to the folks that run the matches and help bring USSA back to the forefront of premium ranges in the world.

I remember when I first started seeing Di, Pinto, Seeklander, Douggie B. wearing Team USSA jerseys and all I wanted to do was be good enough to get on the team someday. The matches up there were awesome and so was the first firearms class I ever took. I really really hope it gets back that level of awesome again.

According to staff(not Les) and current team members the team is done.

It's an issue that probably yet to have been brought up to the new owner.

If he likes what he sees in Vegas, maybe the team will be back on.

He also assured me that all of our matches will continue with USSA's full support. I can personally tell you as Match Director that the support I've had from the staff as far as ProAm is concerned has been very good.

Les also assured me that the planned improvements such as the new Rogers Range and Skeet/Trap facilities are in motion.

He feels that the new owner will be great for every aspect of USSA and that the facility will be fulfilling it's potential as the premier range in this part of the country, which will be awesome for all of us.

I want to apologize again. My choice of words were completely out of line. I am a very active member at USSA and truly love the place.

Les Dunn is a good friend of mine. We've trained together extensively, we've worked on guns together, we've loaded ammo together. Hell, I helped the guy move on a ****ing hot day.

When I heard that the Production Nationals prize table guns were being "held hostage" over a billing dispute I should have asked Les personally about it.

About an hour ago I decided to drive up to USSA and talk to Les about this issue and other concerns and perceptions I and other members have concerning the general direction of the Academy. We had a very frank and productive discussion.

He assured me no guns are being "held hostage". Evidently there are three guns that have not been shipped to California because of legal reasons(not on the approved list).

He also assured me that all of our matches will continue with USSA's full support. I can personally tell you as Match Director that the support I've had from the staff as far as ProAm is concerned has been very good.

. I completely second that Jeff... I think the message has been sent that they are in support of the matches and any improvements to make it better for all of us. Im totally down with having a meeting about the matches and resources available... Lets set one up bro and just make things badass with a combined effort

One additional statement that I would like to make is that the new and sole managing partners would be happy to schedule a time to meet with the members of the forum or members of USSA as a group to address this issue or any other concerns about USSA and it's direction. This would be an excellent time to ask questions and meet them. If you would like to meet please call to schedule one evening after 5:00 so we could accommodate the group. On behalf of David Reeh and Karen Newman/ Les Dunn
As a member It would be nice to do a town hall style meeting every couple of months and be able to hear what is going on, updates, plans for improvement and for us to be able to voice any opinions. Even a monthly email blast newsletter would be nice. My biggest gripe as a member is we never know what is going on.

WOW! Be away from internet service for 4 days and see what happens.

Its was amazing to see how the internet rumors developed, propagated, and were finally quashed by reality.

USSA is an incredible facility for any shooting venue.

Some times new owners can accelerate the progress of making this facility into the finest range I've ever visited in my area.
