USPSA @ USSA [not] Cancelled

I heard there was a little or maybe a big disagreement going on between USSA and USPSA over some costs or bills after Production Nationals. This really disappoints me because having USPSA nationals in Tulsa was awesome.

There have been several comments made concerning comments made yesterday that need to be clarified. Yes, in the past few days’ ownership at USSA has changed and there is a new managing partner. Yesterday a comment was made by a minority partner that was incorrect. USSA is NOT cancelling or doing away with any local competitions. As the Comptroller for USSA I share the vision and direction of controlling management that we are enhancing all aspects of USSA, range-competition and products. It is our desire that our members and guests have a facility to shoot, learn, compete, obtain products that they need with staff that is professional and helpful. Please accept our apology for this mis-understanding and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me or our new managing partner. Best in all you do, Les Dunn.

Thanks for the heads up Les. Unless the actual story comes out rumors are all we hear which in my experience usually does more harm than good even though they are usually incorrect rumors.

Does this mean by chance that USSA will pay its debts to BoomerShooter that they committed to but refused to?

Jesse and Ryan thank you for your feedback. Yes it is un-fortuneate that rumors get going like they do and how information is twisted. There was a comment on the previous page about USSA doing something to USPSA that is totally un-founded. If not directly involved in the conversation or event it would only be speculation and hearsay as to what happened or what was said.

Poor choice of words on my part. I apologize.

I think we are screwed on that front as that deal was made with employees and now owners that are both history. I would live to see USSA again support the forum and members that supports it. I know Les and Charles Peters are in our corner.

When did USSA ship the prize table guns from Production Nationals?
I already picked mine up. But I did have to pay a $50 shipping/transfer few which I thought was a bit ridiculous.

I want to apologize again. My choice of words were completely out of line. I am a very active member at USSA and truly love the place.

Les Dunn is a good friend of mine. We've trained together extensively, we've worked on guns together, we've loaded ammo together. Hell, I helped the guy move on a ****ing hot day.

When I heard that the Production Nationals prize table guns were being "held hostage" over a billing dispute I should have asked Les personally about it.

About an hour ago I decided to drive up to USSA and talk to Les about this issue and other concerns and perceptions I and other members have concerning the general direction of the Academy. We had a very frank and productive discussion.

He assured me no guns are being "held hostage". Evidently there are three guns that have not been shipped to California because of legal reasons(not on the approved list).

He also assured me that all of our matches will continue with USSA's full support. I can personally tell you as Match Director that the support I've had from the staff as far as ProAm is concerned has been very good.

Les also assured me that the planned improvements such as the new Rogers Range and Skeet/Trap facilities are in motion.

He feels that the new owner will be great for every aspect of USSA and that the facility will be fulfilling it's potential as the premier range in this part of the country, which will be awesome for all of us.

So not to hijack the thread but who would be interested in a Annie Oakley game when they get the trap fields set up?

OK I lied I'm totally hijacking the thread and feel no shame.
Are there talks of adding clay sports?

One additional statement that I would like to make is that the new and sole managing partners would be happy to schedule a time to meet with the members of the forum or members of USSA as a group to address this issue or any other concerns about USSA and it's direction. This would be an excellent time to ask questions and meet them. If you would like to meet please call to schedule one evening after 5:00 so we could accommodate the group. On behalf of David Reeh and Karen Newman/ Les Dunn

Les Thanks again for all of the updates.

Would you mind giving us the names of the people that own, run and work at USSA?

Jesse. David and Karen are the sole managing partners for USSA. I am not able to post a list of employees as that would be a violation of personal information.

Good info. Thank you. Glad to see that our options may be expanding instead of dwindling. It's a great venue.
