USPSA at OKCGC 11.5.16

well I could have guessed that, I want some details.. did he squirt out some tears? Did he quote Jeff cooper?
He passed up a port so he could take all the targets on that side from 1 port. Unfortunately, all targets on that side weren't within the 180 at that port.

We were slow but we were waiting on the revolver squad for 1-3 shooters most stages.
What is the optimal number of shooters on a squad? It would be awesome to show more stages AND get done early at a match.
If more people would shoot PCC, there would be less reloads and more fun for all.

I wish I would have counted the targets on stage 1. I ran a 36 round mag for 32 shots and had a few make ups. Did a really slow standing reload for one shot at the end.

Now I am throwing away all my little mags that hold less then 41.

Don't make excuses for the stage I beat you on lol
I almost did the same thing, but right before I walked up I counted and decided to shoot the first 4 sections, then reload on the move to the last section to finish it out.

I'll take them, I don't miss as much as you do

Did you get video of Stage 3? I didn't and wish I would have. Huge lesson to be learned there for the gamer wannabes

That stage description was odd. We all assumed it was supposed to be Virginia count. But went ahead and shot it the other way.

Original intent at setup for stage 3 was to be Virginia count, but Matt later said field courses could not be Virginia count, that's how it ended up Comstock. Made for a very interesting stage to shoot.

If it had been 3 separate strings, maybe could've been Virginia?, but he felt that would bog down that stage and cause back ups, So 1 string Comstock it became.

Someone on our squad said there was a rule about not being able to use your weak hand after the strong hand has been specified. I don't know the rules so I cant opine.

Does anyone else know about that rule?

I saved room for Jess Anderson who was late, and Loren Pendergrass who drove over from Ft Smith. We had to flesh out with 14 people anyway at the beginning, but it didn't really matter. Somehow we ended up with 17 people. Our grabass made no difference in timing. We waited on a squad once, and that led to a permanent delay since our squad was 20% heavier than the others. The stages were lame as elephant dung. I almost fell asleep on stage 4.

Greg went to NASCAR.

I can attest. He actually did fall asleep. Because he had no walk up music
