Had a Glock 17 in the safe and decided to play with a red dot for a while. Bought a Jager kit and put it together this evening.

What do you think?

I think it won't run without major ammo. At least mine wouldn't. Too much weight on the slide.

Good luck!,,

That is what I will be working on next. Need to determine what it is going to take to make it run reliably.

What load did you use to make yours run?

I don't reload. I used a 13lb spring, had Cyrwus cut a coffin cut in the top of the slide and it ran with some Atlanta Arms 9 mm major ammo back when they still sold that stuff. I now shoot it without a comp and the stock barrel with 9mm factory ammo. It will run with +P+ ammo with the como but that ammo is expensive and still won't make major for uspsa.

Took the new toy out to the range. Jesse was right, it wouldn't cycle on my minor reloads or factory loads. But, when I changed the recoil spring to a 10lb spring from the 13lb spring that came in the kit..... It ran exceptionally well on both reloads and factory loads. It is a blast to shoot and I am looking forward to trying it in a steel challenge match.

That's great news!!! How far was the brass ejecting? Mine would trickle out and then I'd get stove pipes occasionally.
