I've been wanting to build a mobile shooting platform for a while now. So I finally got off my ass today and started the build. Started off with an old trailer made out of the rear half of a old pickup.

I stripped the trailer to the frame and welded on some 2" tubing to get the frame out to 8'6" x 8'6". I then built the frame for the platform that will get 3/4" treated plywood next week. When it's all done the shooting platform will be 8'x8' and 7 or 8 feet tall.

Next thing to do include: Building the risers, decking the platform, bracing the platform and building stabilizer jacks on all 4 corners.

Here's what I've done so far. Updates will come a the build progresses.

All that's left is to build a ladder, put some feet on the stabilizers, maybe add some criss cross bracing and change out the flat tire.

Total cost: about $90 for the lumber!! Everything else I had laying around the farm and barns.

Finished it up this morning.
