USPSA is this weekend and USSA. It's a classifier match so if you want to get into another discipline that would be a good time to do it. That way you can see how you rank among the best on your first outing. 5 stages that are classifiers and two field courses. If you aren't a member of USPSA you can join at a junior rate. Check out USPSA.org on how to join.

You have to be a member to get a classification.

dang it! im in france right now and i dont get back till sunday night.ill look into uspsa though ive heard some good things

the pro-am is fun but there is only one major match a year and one match a month here. There are planty of uspsa matches around that you have almost every weekend to choose a match to shoot.

You can thank Jesse T, as he started a list of area matches several years ago. So this may not be the most up to date list, but I bet it is mostly correct. USSA Team shooters will likely be at all the USSA, OCRGC and Old Fort practical shooting events and will happily help you out until you start beating us, so that should be one match for me :-(

My son Parker is also on the team and is 15, so its not just all old geezers (Chris and Jesse notwithstanding) .

Check it out and come join us. 1st match is always the scariest, but you are a great shooter and will master these other games in no time.

In addition to a USPSA classifier match at USSA on Saturday, OCRGC has a IDPA match.

Jesse probbly has 8 or 9 sets of everything so i am sure he could hook you up for a while.... sure would be cool to see a 3 gun junior PRO!!!

You can always buy cheap gear but we know how that turns out.

I usually offer to let newbies use my stuff but I sold everything that I don't shoot over the last 2 months. You're always welcome to shoot any of my match guns anytime thought too.

If you know how to line up the sights, squeeze the trigger and understand the 180 rule you don't need any lessons just ammo.
