I bought a stripped surplus A2 upper receiver and built a rifle using it last year. I had painted it and decided to strip off the paint and go with a different color as opposed to the camo. I looked around and Citristrip seemed to recommended for use on both metal and plastic parts. I brushed it on the rifle and let it sit overnight. Didn't do a lot to the paint on the A2 stock but did a good job everywhere else. Started rinsing off the lifted paint and the A2 upper is bare aluminum now. It seems like it was painted as opposed to anodized. The anodized PSA lower looks perfect. Were they ever made that way or likely somebody bead blasted it in the past and painted it? It has an FK forge mark but I'm not sure of any other details about it besides that.
