the barrel isnt attached to a gun that Jesse hawks the elephant dung out of.
get with Tischauser on that oneIan Swope said:Probably a stupid question but I'm certainly no gunsmith so forgive my ignorance. How does one of these compare to, for instance, the stock 18" SS fluted barrel with rifle length gas system that comes with an off the shelf Stag Arms Model 3G?
The stag barrel is made by SHAW I believe. It's a "match" grade fluted HBAR (heavy) barrel. The barrel DrJJ is selling is going to be several ounces lighter because it's not an HBAR contour.Ian Swope said:Probably a stupid question but I'm certainly no gunsmith so forgive my ignorance. same here.DoctorJJ said:I've never head spaced an AR
Wylde is for both.L6J6M said:My barrel should have shipped today. So are these strictly for .223 or does it also shoot the 5.56?

1. Should you always check the head space with GO/NO GO gauges?

HAHA! the ones we shot at Ft Cambell Ky. couldn't hit a pie plate at 50 yds they were so shot out.Robusto said:Doc- the barrel shoots great! This shoots so much better than the one the Army gave me at Ft. Knox. Thank you.
