Back to the trophies question ladies. Personally I like it when my trophies go bang but a cool trophy inert trophy is also pretty nice to set on the work bench.

I still remember the first trophy I won as a kid when I crushed a 12th place finish in the fat kids dodge ball tournament.

We are doing the Generation III Gun Championship at the Lake of The Ozarks in September of this year (get your entries in folks) and will have a bunch of junior shooters. We'd like to get some cool trophies made up.

So keep those ideas coming please.

Laser engraved beer bongs would be good. Some of those kids are about to go to college, after all.

I vote to make those popper targets from Ponca the official trophy of the Oklahoma state matches. I don't know if I will ever win one, but I will wear it about as often as the Texas state limited belt buckle.

Since we are in the planning phase of this years match, I have a somewhat serious question. If the entry was say $50 and you got an engraved medal for 1st, 2nd or 3rd in each class and division, would that be more appealing than a bigger award and an extra $20/$30 entry? We are trying to decide which way to go and there is merit both ways.

That was the original intent of this thread. Find out what everyone likes and do it in a low match budget lol

Yes, but you know what happens to well intended threads in forums. This is why we can't have nice things.

Me personally, I would rather have a nice little medal like they do overseas and pay substantially less for entry. Just my $.02

I'd rather have a low entry fee than elaborate prizes/medals. Prestige is prestige, regardless of the trophy evidence.
