RIA Trigger screw for what? Pre-travel reduction?

Purchased yesterday (18FEB2025) in a trade deal at my LGS. Gunsmith thought it was to reduce or enhance(?) the trigger "slop" or pre-travel (the distance a trigger will move before reaching 'the wall' of firing). I'd like to know what y'all think before I attempt changing anything. Thanks!

Over travel. Pre-travel is set on the trigger bow but not all triggers have this option.

Please consult your (other) gunsmith for details and adjustment.

Exactly, to prevent overtravel and get the gun reset for another trigger pull quicker. ^^^^
