I am wondering if anybody here has owned a Sigma and was able to change the trigger pull. I have talked to an uncle of my wife's who said he had a friend who was able to do this, but this was some time ago. But like all those stories go, it could just be hearsay.

The gun shoots fine and the heavy pull is not too bad but I liked to change it.

I would appreciate for any advise or instructions.

I googled "Sigma Trigger Job" and got a lot of hits. There are some DIY stuff and some links to 'smiths who do em.

in my opinion, any significant trigger work on these WILL affect its reliability.
If its a plinker, folks have removed the bottom pigtail spring from the sear block assy.

I have had two of them, and got rid of both because of the horible triggers. It would not be a bad gun with a good trigger job.

I had one as well. Had being the key word. Some freeking thief has it now, hope he is enjoying the crappy trigger. If you could get past the trigger, it was pretty darned accurate!

My first gun was a Sigma in .40SW. I could probably shoot like a 15" group then, but the gun shot about a 35" group, and jammed by way of stovepipe every 25 rounds. And it happened to the next owner, and the next, and now I hope it's been recycled into something useful, like a doorstop or a paperweight, or a movie prop.

Thanks, I looked at some of the web stuff but wanted to see if anybody here had first hand knowledge of how it performed after or if it started to tank. I always worry about doing things to mechanical devices I have little knowledge of, and possible injury to myself or others.

I like the gun and can shoot pretty well with it, just the trigger pull is annoying.

I can shoot better with it than my brother who shoots a Beretta Px4 Storm., and he paid more than $500 for it.
