I am being hounded rather assertively by a guy to wants to trade me an FNAR for my Desert Eagle. I'm trying to sell/trade the Desert Eagle, but I have no use for an FNAR until five or ten years time from now. Does anyone think it would be easier to sell/trade the FNAR than the Desert Eagle, if I do make the trade? I'm not desperate or anything, but the FNAR has more real value, which also means I'd have to trade it to someone with even more money/value than I currently need to take the Deag off my hands.

I'm using the funds to compete and to use practicing with pistols, since my trigger control is inadequate.

Think in the long term. I would do whatever is going to get me further into my goal. If that means trading up, and having to wait to turn a bigger profit, that's what I'd do. More money means more resources you have to get you to where you want to go.

I'd get what has the highest value and is easiest to sell. Some items may be valued higher, but the demand is lower.

This didn't end up happening, but now I'm selling off an M&P40c, and have a trade offer for a G19 with some accessories. I may take it, since I've known them to sell pretty quickly. Or just keep it.
