To Carry one the chamber or not?

Unless I am cleaning it or letting someone inspect it, my gun is always loaded now. I just don't want to be in a situation where I need it, and forgot it wasn't ready to go.

I'm with you. If it is on my person or by my chair it is ready to go. If it is in my hand because of an outside noise it is in fire mode either high ready or low ready, out of sight. We live in the country.
