Timney vs. CMC vs. Geissele (all models) vs etc...

I use AR Gold, perfect for 3gun, closest to a 2011 trigger as you can get.

CMC - 3.5 pounds (ish) crisp clean single stage break with little to no creep, very long reset.
Timney - 3.5 pound crisp clean single stage break, no creep, decent reset, never had an issue on the AR but the SCAR trigger failed to reset ALOT.
Geissel - 2 stage makes a great precision rifle trigger, not great for 3Gun, the S3G feels like a two stage trigger that has no wall, it just drops off, almost surprises you everytime the gun fires, i'm not a fan.
never shot a wilson

if you pick one out, i have a Timney, CMC, a JP, and a Geissle S3G sitting in the safe that i need to get rid of!
Ryan Muller...Do you still have the CMC trigger?

Matt I just picked up a CMC off the FNH staff prize table. I haven't gotten to live fire it yet, but dry fire it is very nice in my opinion. Someone mentioned a long reset, mine is not long at all. It's right there on reset. I'm hoping to get rounds down range next week with it.

I've been pretty happy with the CMC trigger I got awhile back. Reset isn't long at all. It's a great trigger.
The AR gold still blows it out of the water, but for the price of the CMC, I think it's a good buy.

CMC for a budget shooter is the way to go. I was a little sceptical about the flat trigger until I tried it but I love it. I got mine from one of our sponsors Nordic components.

The only ones I use are JPs, Jard, CMC and POF. There are slight differences between them and some are better (or worse) for some of the "other" calibers and applications.

The JPs and Jards I run in my match rifles are in the mid 2 pound range and I absolutely love them. But, in some situations, I can bump fire them, like the double on the clay on stage 2 at Superstition. CMC triggers are in my boys ARs...a little more margin of error, but still a good crisp trigger. The POFs are in guns you won't ever see in a match, but it is a more rugged trigger that I use in the .450Bushmaster and .450Corvette as well as the .300BO and 6.5PCC. The CMCs and Jards tend to work extremely well for the 22ARs as well.

This is all the trigger I can afford right now. I'm still amazed at how well it worked!

Mitch that what I was using before I won the CMC trigger. Mostly because in my head I could not justify the money, but holy crap there is a difference, my mind is changed. My issue is I don't have the luxury of getting to test out different equipment to see what I like and don't. I have to go on word of mouth, then buy it and hope it's good to go for me. NY has done a great job of ****ing elephant dung up in regards to people being involved in the shooting sports and places to shoot, making what people are using and getting my hands on them before buying very difficult.

I use the JP springs and bobbed hammer, but also have a JoeBob Outfitters trigger adjuster. It's pretty nice.
This is what I did for the wife's carbine. I also flitzed and polished all contact parts and it is surprisingly good for $25.

I am in the same boat, but mainly because I always forget get to ask other 3-Gunners if I can try out their gear. So it's all my fault, because I am awash in wicked awesome 3-Gun gear at every local match. When it comes time to put in a really nice trigger I'm gonna go with the AR Gold. It's approved by Accurate Ron, dontchaknow.

That said, I am ordering another trigger adjuster for my stocking at xmas. They are a great product.

I was just comparing my ar gold in the 3g rifle to a JP I installed in a kiss carbine I have. man what a difference. Ill eventually have $1500 worth of ar gold triggers alone in my rifles. sucks but you gotta pay.

I will give the AR golds a try once I have the money to spare. Right now I have to try and put it towards ammo. As nice as I think a new trigger would be, I think ammo and range time will be more beneficial to me at this point. I may be totally wrong with this thinking though.

The CMC trigger I just got will have to do till then.

Exactly I should have never bought one!

Well, I have JP in everything. I'm gonna have to try out one of the Golds it looks like.

I'm happy with the JP's, but I don't want Cyrwus ragging on me for not trying something new.

Still have a couple of BS lowers, I need to build something.
