Building an AR and don't really have experience with any of these triggers. Would anyone like to chime in and describe the differences between these and how they compare (considering their different costs)? I'd really appreciate the help.

CMC
Timney
Geissel (SSA-E, Super Dynamic Combat, Super Dynamic Enhanced, SD-3G)
AR Gold
Wilson Combat

And anything else I probably haven't heard about since I'm a noob.
I'd appreciate any feedback and knowledge from ya'll. Thanks.

I can only speak of the SD3G, it took some getting use to but I like it.
Very short break, really smooth almost to easy. It feels the same from start to finish.
The flat trigger is more like pressing a button than pressing a trigger.

Impossible to explain them all in words. They are all sub four lb match triggers. You're best bet is to try as many as you can at a match to see which one is best for you. Personally I ran JP for a few years then I tried and AR Gold and it blew my mind. I know a lot of top pros use the AR Gold cause it mimics the 1911 trigger the best.

I use AR Gold, perfect for 3gun, closest to a 2011 trigger as you can get.

CMC - 3.5 pounds (ish) crisp clean single stage break with little to no creep, very long reset.
Timney - 3.5 pound crisp clean single stage break, no creep, decent reset, never had an issue on the AR but the SCAR trigger failed to reset ALOT.
Geissel - 2 stage makes a great precision rifle trigger, not great for 3Gun, the S3G feels like a two stage trigger that has no wall, it just drops off, almost surprises you everytime the gun fires, i'm not a fan.
never shot a wilson

if you pick one out, i have a Timney, CMC, a JP, and a Geissle S3G sitting in the safe that i need to get rid of!

Appreciate all the feedback guys.
And based on my current funds, I'd probably be choosing between the CMC or the Timney...since I guess they're the "lower end."
So Ryan Muller, if it was between CMC vs Timney then you'd chose Timney for an AR?

What you want for those triggers just sitting there collecting dust?

I won a Timney once. It was in my old Loki rifle. Nothing bad about it just nothing spectacular either.

You think it would be possible to get kalani laker to let us in on whatever you were saying he did to your trigger? It was another thread that you mentioned this.

I doubt it. All you can do is adjust the screws in the back.

I'm using the AR gold and it is fantastic. I've also shot the JP and it is also fantastic. Since I was installing it myself I didn't want to have to all the 'fitting' required for the JP so I opted for the drop-in AR-Gold. It took longer to remove the pins than to install the trigger.

Tried both versions of the hiperfire, wasn't impressed. It was billed as a JP-killer, it is not, my JP is better.

Seriously. JP or AR Gold. End of thread.

Hyperfire is a smooth rolling break with a good positive reset. AR Gold and JP are crisp clean 1911/2011 triggers,

ARGold is the best I've found so far........

AR gold sounds to be the best out there, but I have a real hard time paying $280 for a trigger.
It's like anything else. If you're dropping $1000 to go shoot a major every month or two then having a $300 trigger starts to make more sense.
