Timer for stage management

I have no idea what your shooting discipline is like (I barely know IDPA / USPSA) but it does sound like a Timex Ironman or similar is what you want. They can handle a little bit of programmable timing, and they can repeat the program indefinitely.

They can take some abuse, and have excellent battery life -- all for maybe 40 bucks or something. I would question their ability to handle the heat of a rifle -- depending on where it was mounted, the rate of fire of the rifle, etc. They might do well, or they might just melt away, I don't know...

A par timer is the same thing as any countdown timer. Works like a kitchen timer, but louder, better, and cooler. The CED7000 has a mode for par time. Just in case OP doesn't know. And the Timex Ironman is the king of watches.

But on a different note I have a vortex 1-4 razor hd that I was thinking about putting on my LWRC for three gun stuff. Any thoughts?

Disregard all the other crap I said as it was geared towards 3 gun.

This setup would work fine for 3 gun. Is the LWRC a .308 or .223?

It's a .223. I realize it's not a speedgun but I bought it before I started shooting 3 gun. I've used it for two larues and several outback matches and it has given me something to go by.

Went and shot a match this saturday and forgot my timer in the truck. rushed the shots on two stages and missed with plenty of time still left. definately gonna get a timex mounted to my gun.
