Right My AR goes "THRONG" from the buffer tube Ive lubed the spring enough to grease a nun up (a lot)
I thought it might go away after a bit with shooting and all you know rough buffer tube internal but it seems to be going "THRONG" still why?
other than that I still love my AR

I'm no spring expert but I'm pretty sure they all do somewhat. I was running JP springs which are flat coils. I lubed then up good with Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil and the noise was reduced a lot.

Make ready pro shop sells a deal that is supposed to eliminate spring noise. It's pretty inexpensive.
Some use the changing sound of the spring as an indicator that they have just fired their last shot.

I'm not a pro, or a semi-pro, or even a semi-semi-pro. I'm not even an amateur really, but it does make it pretty easy to tell when you've fired the last round. It also doesn't bother me much anymore.

And MrTheBigOx, that was one of the first things I remember noticing the first time I shot an AR. "Sproing!!"
