So it's a pistol barrel that sits in your shotgun barrel, holding one round of whatever caliber it's made for?

Huh. I think for the $ I'd rather have more 12 gauge ammo...

I have always liked single shot firearms. It brings you back to a more peacefull era. Being able to use different ammo in a single shot firearm allows for a greater versatility. Not many firearms can be converted so easily!

How much TC Contender and barrels can one get for $450?

Then too you're getting a longer barrel for each different caliber.

I am not really dissing their product. I just think for me, I'd rather have a TC or something similar.

If the insert barrels were full length (at least 18") that would be something else again.

Oh, the pics don't convey the actual length- stupid me. Contenders are pretty cool, I know somebody here working on a Contender aqquisition these days...

hope it works out well for them too!

I checked this out and I'm diggin it. Sure, 7 1/2" for the "barrels" isn't long, but the videos show surprising accuracy.

Plus, when SHTF, one break action 12 gauge and this kit would make a helluva "opportunistic" weapon system. The ability to shoot damn near every caliber you would probably find when looting or picking ammo off of bodies, would be awesome.

$449 probably not too bad either if it works as advertised.

IMHO having a 12 gauge, period, is probably the best shtf weapon. There are tons of different ammo choices and 12 gauge ammo is still widely available even now. It's also relatively easy to reload shot shells without special tools. I just don't see the advertised utility of these.

I found these

Less expensive and the ability to pick the individual caliber inserts that you want. Not as many options but maybe they will expand the line if they start selling well.

Although these days the only ammo I can find is 12 gauge.
