Ok folks since we don't have any place in town that can seem to get any powder I thought I would ask if anyone has a pound of Accurate 2520 or IMR4198 they would like to sell? these are to work up some loads in 223 and Socom and while I'd rather not pay the hazmat hell I can't find it where I can order so thought I would just throw it out there and see. Kirk, I got the better part of a pound of H4198 and about a 1/2 pound of 8208XBR. Got anything to trade? H4895? I'd give you both for a 1lb'er of H4895. Hint, hint.

I don't like their prices, and I really don't like how they keep up their inventory. But $350 for an 8-pound keg of WST only comes out to 2-3c per round, depending on the load. If I really needed pistol powder, I could probably deal with that.

Scott I don't have any 4895 :( BUT I have a nice shiney nickle

Haven't gotten a PM yet.

Jerry I'll let them keep thier powder... they seem rather proud of it! $45 for a pound of RL15 I bought a couple the other day for $21

All these folks with stupid prices on stuff I'm to the point I'm not going to support them! things are hard to get but damn and I'm even seeing it happen here in town... a mark up of $20 on a box of 45 bullets (500) but I guess as long as some will pay the price it's not going to go down. Later,

Since they say they cover the hazmat fee all they are doing is charging the normal price of powder and tagging on the hazmat, $20 for a pound then $20 for hazmat = $40.

I'd really not mind the hazmat fee but with working up loads I hate to buy 8# of powder to find that it sucks! when I find the powder that works well I can order enough (if I can find it) that the hazmat will not be such a big deal. Later,

A hazmat tag covers up to 48lbs. of powder and primers. They don't all have to be in a single container. Charging a separate hazmat fee on each pound of powder would be deceptive, to say the least.

Correct Chris but look at their prices above unless they have a disclaimer on the site but that's what it looks like they are doing. I thought the hazmat covered about 50#. Later,

Got a call last night and I will have some IMR4198 this weekend :) and found me a 5# of RL15 but the Accurate 2520 seems to be rather difficult to hunt down and has been for the last 2 years grr. Thanks for the help fella's and if you find a poor lonely container of 2520 just sitting on your shelf I will be glad to offer it a new loving home hehe Later,

Hey Kirk, I don't know if 3031 is too slow for Socom, but it works good in .223. Actually it's pretty damn versatile and works good in a bunch of rifle calibers. And it's in stock at PV and 3rd Gen. Hopefully this crap will straighten up soon, but we have to be open to changing stuff up while it's going on.
