Growing up overseas I saw first hand. In the Real world there were no rules.
Coming back for good, I soon realized that people in America did two curious things I could not understand.
Had to ask the Ol man on this one LOL.
First I noticed most White people did not look around at other people when out and about.
2nd I realized there were so many imagined rules, that people believed other people would follow if they did.
Just look around when in public, & you will see most Black & brown people looking around.
Look around again & see most White people looking at stuff not other people. Generalization about people of course.
It will take some work on our part, however for safety's sake. We must change our minds
& stop believing there are rules & you must follow them blindly.
Look around like the predator not the prey, you have the gun so act like it. If someone looks bad at you are one step
ahead of the game.

I mean the LAW with consequences, not empty rules.
There is only one rule I follow, that is my total loyalty is to my Lord Jesus Christ!
