The STEAKINATOR AR build thread

I found As Tactical As elephant dung. And hopefully someday I can 3 gun with you. For now there are only 2 issues with that. #1 My only shotty is a winchester 1300 short barrel turkey gun. #2 I am fat as can be and this "running" thing i hear you all speak of is more of an urban legend in my book :62:

I shoot a few matches here and there and let me tell you.... If I can run, anybody can run. Lol...
Seriously, it's too much fun to miss out on for just about any reason. your only regret will be not having started sooner.

The mail man and UPS guy were good to me today.

Now to Accurate Iron to get some pretty things done and be assembled. :D

Got word that the upper is done and assembled, so I should have some pics of that tomorrow. Also, Just got the last of the funds to do the BUIS and optics!

LOL!
Not the first time someone took out my street sign.
You shoot that sucker yet?

also, be careful sticking mags in the gun while its around the house; I put a round through the bathroom of my last house because I just had to see how my cool new AR looked with a mag in it!

-seriously, though. Especially if you have loaded mags anywhere.

I got the optics today, they look great. Now just waiting on the BUIS. One thing is the primary arms red dot will take some getting used to. It requires a person to have both eyes open to focus it well without the magnifier. With the magnifier it is great.

Mike, I shot it the other day and have to say that it sure shoots sweet! Having never shot an AR before I really wasn't sure what to expect. The recoil is not much more than a 22mag. I guess when the wife cools down from all the stuff I have done so far I will have to bring it back to you to put on an adjustable gas block and order a low mass bolt to take the last of it out. The battle comp is GREAT! that sucker doesent go anywhere when the trigger is pulled. This is all very unscientific of course and when I get to put it on sandbags with real sights I think I will be able to describe it better, but for now I am impressed.

And thanks for the tip about having a mag in the firearm. almost always my mags stay full so I know what you are talking about and how that could very easily happen. That one, at the time, was empty though. Its was super easy to check since I haven't made my order for extra mags yet and week or so more that one is my lonely AR mag.

Me and my shooting buddy went to sight it in yesterday. We didn't have much luck, but we sure had a lot of fun!
