My Favorites:

Asain: Korean BBQ (on Woodruff), Irashiai (on Pleseantburg)
Country Cooking: Cataran Lodge (across from BJU)
Pizza: Mellow Mushroom (Downtown), Frodo's
BBQ: Greenville doesn't have any great BBQ, I work in Charlotte so I eat at RO's in Gastonia, NC pretty Regularly.
Brew Pub: Blue Ridge (Downtown). Their Pimento Cheese is awesome.
Mexican: Sr. Salsa for regular, Uncle Berto's Burritos for "Moes-esque" Burritos
Steak: Larkin's on the River (Downtown)
Seafood: Oyster @ West End (Downtown)
Chain: Outback

There you go, I eat at these places all the time.

Haven't been to SWAD, but I love Indian. I will check it out.

Can't believe I forgot Pita House, That place is great. They are rude & you must have cash, but the food is awesome.

For BBQ, I like to eat at Bucky's on Roper Mountain. I had Irashai for the first time the other night. I can second that for a good Asian restaurant. Taco Casa is one of my all time favorites for cheap Mexican food.

Korean BBQ on Woodruff is Awesome. Great little place with great owners.

India Palace on Pleasantburg is fairly good for Indian. The owner was gone for awhile and it was a little spotty, but it's been good since he's been back.

For Japanese, Sushi Masa on Pelham is AWESOME. Lots of non-sushi on the menu, real Japanese not the hibachi stuff we're used to.

Also on Pelham, The Schwaben House is excellent German cuisine.

Saigon Fast Food on Pleasantburg, awesome Vietnamese.

I like India Palace, it's always been a favorite. For a date night The Lazy Goat is good.

+2 to ramsey88's recommendation for Jon's Pizza in Mauldin, in thread below--- their crust is thin and crispy! very casual

ate at 'Asia' restaurant last year---elegant, good food, a bit pricey but worth it imo--- behind sticky fingers, off woodruff rd past Malfunction Junction...dont know if they are still around..

Definitely will check out the rec's on the Indian foods..thanks!

Adding a recommendation for Tony's Pizza and Subs. Delicious wings and pizza, and they have several locations in the Greenville area.

My wife and I went to Sully's Steamers the other day. You pick your type of bagel, what you want on it and they steam it. I thought it sounded weird but it's really good. I got the Swamp Rabbit BBQ on a multigrain bagel, it was very nice.

+3 on the Korean BBQ. Sounds mysterious (like what IS Korean BBQ?) and it's attached to a gas station (Red Robin), but it's nice inside, and the food is awesome. Don't judge a book...

for pizza Tonys on Haywood across street from Outback.

He is from NY and pizza is off the chain.

BBQ .....Smoking Pig in Williamston is great.....only open Thursday-Saturday.

Dinner times are hard to get in.
