Would it be defensible for a person to shoot someone introducing legislation that would get rid of "Stand Your Ground" and invoke "Stand Your Ground" as their defense, claiming that the legislation placed their life in jeopardy?

I'm completely ignorant about everything in life and the above question is not satire and is completely honest.
