The 7 People You Don't Want On Your Squad

I had an instructor on the squad Saturday. He actually knew WTF he was talking about.

Not a bad day to be instructed.

I am still at the point of liking being squadded with the instructor. It is all in how they point out what you are doing wrong. I've shot with a lot of people that shoot much better than me (that is not all that hard to do lol) and lots of "you may want to try this" moments have helped me tremendously. Jeff Hite shot my very first 3 gun match with me and gave me tons of great advice.

Add to the list "Brass Scavengers". The guys at local matches who are pecking at every piece of brass, while the rest of the squad is resetting the stage.
(If they are returning what they picked up to the shooter that just shot, that's a different story all together. These are the guys that just can't leave a piece of brass on the ground.)

You can usually get them refocused on resetting the stage for 2-3 shooters by handing them a roll of pasters or a can of paint but, they readily regress to their natural state without constant reinforcement.

I cant say I hate them. When they are squadded with me Tony Feegee or micah it makes for some pretty good photo ops. Hell just airing up your tires can present a cover photo.

One time at a match there was this little kid picking up brass like a scavenger monkey. When he walked by me I tripped him and he spilled all of the brass he had been picking up. It was hilarious
